Great for beginners or programmers

I have reviewed and used many different "introduction to programming" texts in my career and taught many different languages. This text is best if you have some programming experience, but if you don't all you need to do is pay closer attention to the first few chapters and you can get up to speed in no time. Extensive enough for the professional and clear enough for the student, this book walks that thin line between the total beginner and a reference text. I know enough about C++ to know that it is all here in this book. I haven't tried the website yet, but I expect it to be high quality as well.
