Good to have SS soleplate, but it's heavier, more cumbersome and produces a lot more steam than expected. However in action, it does a great job, although you wouldn't want to iron vertically for long.
This is a neat compact little pump, very suitable for dealing with water only waste. However UK buyers should be aware that although inlets are specified as 40mm, the sockets are too small to accept a UK 40mm waste. The only way to connect is via a rubber sleeve connector with circlips (8.79 at Screwfix). The outlet can be connected to a UK 32mm waste with some perseverance - it's a tight fit to get it into the second size of the outlet sleeve - you need to chamfer the edge of the waste well and use silicon spray. My electrician noted that the 13 amp fuse in the plug was too large for the capacity of the flex used. Anyway in the UK it needs to be connected via a wired fused outlet, not a socket.
I've had a variety of laptops and all have plus and minus points, but when you return to IBM/Lenovo it feels like welcome home. With 128 Gb HD it wasn't well endowed, but with a lenovo quick swap DVD, not problem to add another 480 ssd.
