An icon of liberation
2 of 2 found this helpful Even today this movie might shock people. But, in reality, it is all about love, the redemption of a young man and building his capacity to go into adulthood with poise and equanimity. His mentor is a concentration camp survivor who had learned the value of love and joy not just occasionally but all the time. The spontaneity of her reactions to the simplest and most beautiful of events certainly contributed to the young man's maturation. It was a fun and happy movie with macabre twists that amused us immensely.

Excellent product in all ways.
Beautifully made, strong and sturdy and very nice finish. I will stain and varnish to fit more closely with our decor.
