It eats Pentium notebooks for lunch... And it did!
These Lombard Top Of The Line 400MHz processors (that work) are somewhat rare, and they only came with the DVD decoder chipped motherboards in the 400MHz models, which also came with a DVD-ROM drive not available in the 333MHz model. The Lombard's are a great crossover machine from an older era into the next generation of fast USB equipped machines. The Lombard still had SCSI, but it also has USB and a fast PCMCIA port. Unfortunately, Firewire didn't come out until the Pismo was released. SCSI is now gone, replaced with an easier to use Firewire port.

Don't waste your time or money on this. Buy a name brand product instead.
It is NOT Mac capatiable. I tried it with a variety of Macs, new and old, and it just didn't work. I did get it to work with a Netbook PC, but the performance was very poor. The CD was skipping all the time, and DVD's didn't work at all.
