Gotoh GE101A Featherweight Stop Tailpiece for Gibson® Guitars Aged Relic Nickel

Perfect Fit

Bought this for a 2008 Gibson '68 Reissue Les Paul Custom VOS. In typical, inexplicable Gibson fashion, most of the hardware was aged, except for the tailpiece. It was polished nickel-plated aluminum and it stuck out like a sore thumb. This was the perfect fix. The studs' thread count was an exact match for the stock bushings. The description includes the word 'relic'. In my opinion, the relic process involves some level of damage, and in the case of hardware, might include nicked, pitted, or even rusty parts. This has none of that, and I would consider the one I received to be merely 'aged'. The treatment matched the rest of the guitar perfectly. Never been disappointed by Gotoh yet.

Dunlop Tortex Picks Sound Great

Been using Dunlop's Tortex picks since the day they were born and their Pitch Black Jazz III picks for years now. I thought I'd try a little larger pick, so I bought these. Turns out they're just a little too much thicker than the 1.14mm Pitch Blacks I've gotten used to. Not an everyday pick for me, but I'll find a use for them. Guitar picks are the most underappreciated piece of equipment in a guitarslinger's toolbox. Depending on your set up and your ear, the right pick can have a dramatic impact on your tone. Dunlop Tortex picks rock.
