Well made , sturdy & powerful reliable Cree light
8 of 10 found this helpful I have purchased several similar Cree lights on eBay searching for the most reliable and well made unit.
This one is it !
This flashlight uses two rechargeable 14650 3.7v batteries for power. Adapter sleeves enabling the user to switch to AA batteries are available but I actually prefer the larger size 14650 for their longer charge life capacity. Be advised that standard 1.5v AAs do not have the voltage to really power the Cree cell to full illumination--for that you need 3.7v 14650 or AA sized 14500 if using adapter sleeve.
This unit is well crafted ,sturdy and reliable.
The aluminum body feels substantial with a nice durable anodized finish. A nice feature is the spring steel belt clip which is secured by hoop on the other end of the clip which. the flashlight body The build tolerances are quite precise for a low cost unit. There is no slop in the telescoping lens head when focusing the beam. The thick plastic magnifying lens has convex rounded dome shaped profile which does an excellent job harnessing the power of the single Cree cell l.e.d
The beam is BRIGHT !
With fully charged batteries, the beam of light can be clearly seen against a wall in a sun lit room. The beam can be adjusted from a flood to a spot beam. The spot beam is very intense , reaches out very far and can easily light up sides of buildings , down dark alleys , tree tops , foliage at night etc. The flood beam cam fully illuminate a dark room enough that you can easily read a book.
In hiking and camping scenarios the light is very handy and can replace bulkier spot lights & Mag-Lites on night trails and campsites.

More " ya get what you pay for"from good ol ProMag!
I only can recommend this magazine for casual range use.
No WAY would I use this ProMag magazine for anything more dangerous than plinking at a paper bulleye target! The low cost is what made me buy a couple without expecting too much out ProMag QC.
Be prepared to do a lot of polishing and tweaking.
The follower is the main issue ---it's very cheaply made out of very thin flimsy lightweight material. I doubt very seriously that it will hold up very long under the tension of the recoil spring during slide lock /release.
The inside of the magazine body is very roughly finished and the flimsy follower catches and binds like crazy even when running deactivated dummy rounds through it by hand.

Good quality neck for the money !
This is a more than adequate neck for the money. It is well finished and looks beautiful . The finish and build is quite impressive. The abalone fret markers are well done and add a bit of class. The tuner holes were clean an neat and snug enough for a good fit. The finish was smooth and even with no runs or rough spots. The fret board was smooth and even and the fret ends had no sharp ends.
Once installed on my guitar , the truss rod made it easy to get a nice low buzz free action. I did not need to do a fret dress and level at all. I highly recommend it.
