Does not work with Springfield XD Sub Compact Mod2 9mm

This magazine loader claims to be for Springfield XD Sub Compact Mod2 9mm . It does not work. I took a loaded magazine, removed one bullet from the stack, and tried to put it back in. The loader does compress the spring and stack of bullets already in the magazine, but causes the top round to tilt upward, blocking insertion of the last round. I tried it several times with care, thinking I needed to just get the hang of it. No dice. My universal Uplula does it just fine.
