Pay a few dollars more for other Grandstream models
I have tested and use several models of Grandstream VOIP phones, and the Budget Tone model is the only bad one I've found. It works, but not well.

Easy fast upgrade to Triple my system's speed / capacity.
I have some systems based on the SuperMicro H8QME2 motherboard that had 4 dual core Opteron CPUs. It was a really simple upgrade from 8 cores to 24 cores on a single system! I had to flash my bios before the CPU upgrade, but otherwise easy. It is even easier than with older cpus, because the bottom of the CPU has flat contacts, so you don't have to worry about bending pins during extraction and insertion.
These chips were originally over $2000 each, but are very affordable now to allow you to upgrade old hardware really on a budget.
