Design flaw
The item itself is fine and works as it should but this design is horrible. The cable makes a 90* turn at the mower deck and is exposed to all the grass and moisture. Between the turn and exposure of a steel cable to the elements its going to be prone to failure. These are notorious for breaking so considering the life expectancy of the Honda engine plan on replacing several of these over the life of the mower.

Second pair
I like my first set so well I bought a second. There are better sounding headphones on the market but not for $12 shipped, which is what I gave for mine. I use mine while cutting grass and other outside activities. They seal well to the ears and can easily be heard over lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. My kid has a set of Beats by Dre and these are better! I have some hi-end headphones for home use but for casual use these can't be beat (pun intended) for the money. Highly recommended.

Not bad
It is a good piece for the money. The original has "brake release" engraved into the plastic where this one is just printed on it. Other than that it works fine.
