Useful filter, but clogs quickly
1 of 1 found this helpful This does a good job of filtering water before running through my Shurflo pump. It is relatively easy to clean... which is a good thing because it also fills up pretty quickly. You may have to take the screen out and wash it for a thorough cleaning. Once it clogs, it pretty much blocks any flow to the pump.

Fun to read, but more of a science textbook than the title suggests
Heinrich creates a compelling synthesis of information from widely varied disciplines - from archaeology and anthropology to neuroscience and gene sequencing - showing the impact of culture on our species. He argues (effectively, in my opinion) that culture (rather than intelligence) is what truly distinguishes humans from other species on the planet.
Although his writing is good and fairly easy to read, it is pretty dense with charts, numbers, technical details, and endnotes, so it might be important to note that this is more like a "fun-to-read textbook" than like a "sciencey pop culture book."
There are a few places where Heinrich seems to set aside careful scholarship and shoot from the hip, so some of what he writes should be taken with a grain of salt. When he describes correlation and then attributes causes, he sometimes doesn't back this up with any proof. In a few cases, he engages in what come across to me as ad hominem attacks. But in my mind, this doesn't invalidate his central thesis.
