Does the job for the amateur
1 of 1 found this helpful Accurately measures distance and requires very small investment of time to learn how it works. Instructions reasonably clear, though still lacking fine detail; maybe keep-it-simple is the best policy here. For measuring height using trigonometry (you measure base and hypotenuse and it calculates the length of 3rd side) you need a small platform with a level built in so you know your base measurement is proper for a right-sided triangle. Hard to see laser pointer in daylight, which was expected, but works at dusk in places bright during the day.
