A Real Xmas Classic!
It is hard to believe this collection of Xmas songs was released Nov 1963, over 47 years ago. The Ronettes were a young girl group back then - I was a young teenager. Now Ronnie Spector is a young 67 year old lady and STILL performing her Xmas magic. Darleen Love will be soon be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame to join the Ronettes who were inducted in 2007. After listening to this CD, it is obvious why these ladies are in the Hall of Fame. During Xmas time, many pop radio stations still play some of these classic selections and for good reason - people like it!
Although these are old mono recordings, the sound is very good. Phil Spector was not really into stereo sound back then. His famous "wall of sound" is heard throughout this CD and any stereo separation would do little to enhance these classics. Great vocals by all.
If you want a true Xmas pop classic from the early 1960s, this is a must have.

American Muscle Cars 2011 Calendar
This calendar “American Muscle Cars” by Motorbooks has occupied a special place on my office wall for years. I have been renewing this calendar for many years. I was a teenager in the late 1960s/early 1970s and the photos bring back much nostalgia for me when these machines once ruled the roads. Always good ol American Iron shown - never "rice burners" on this calendar!
The photos are always well done with good backdrops. The photos usually show the car as it would have left the factory in "stock" condition - my personal preference. Below the pictures, brief passages are written. The brief passages are accurate and summarize the uniqueness of each car well.

Perfect Radio! Just Like New!
The radio was very easy to install--only a few connections were required. After installing the radio, CD and cassette performed perfectly--just like new!
