Cheap Chinese Plastic but what do you want for the price
I wanted a lightweight polymer handguard that would fit my RAS-47, with vent cuts at the top because I like the look. However it has no heat shield inside so I took one out of an Arsenal guard and made it fit. Painted it battleship grey with a matching top for the gas tube and it looks awesome and should perform well.

Best in class
I use these for astronomy because they are still relatively compact at 56mm and still fit in my accessory bag. Sharp field stops, great eye relief, pinpoint to the edge of field, unbelievably bright and crisp FMC optics, BAK-4 prisms, on and on. Too bad this model was discontinued but if you are an astronomer and can find a pair, get one. These are $500 binoculars, and it shows. Nikon does it again.

They don't make em like this anymore
In great condition for 35 years old! Sounds just as good as my other one, also 35 years old!
