Uniden BC60XLt Sscanner
At the time of this writing (early 2018) this rcvr is considered to be almost "ancient,' but the one if bought still functions as if new. With no necessity to search the 800 Mhz spectrum or 'trunked' systems, it fits my needs (railroad scanning) perfectly.

1 of 1 found this helpful An "oldie but a goodie!" I was fortunate enough to find this in virtually like-new condition. The previous owner(s?) kept their things in good shape! it may not have all the super-high frequencies but it's just fine for lisening to my local public safety agencies and for railroad scanning (my main interest. If you can find one in good shape for a reasonable price - grab it.

Good value for the cost.
In the pics it appears larger than it actually is, but it is sufficient for light assembly work and handling smaller "grip" applications. The base is not all that heavy, thus stable, and I drilled 2 holes in the base arms to secure it to a larger surface by means of 2 screws.
