Waste of money

Didn't work. It would contract the pin the first time when turned on, then release it after turning it off. After that it wouldn't contract the pin again. If you then pushed against the pin it would contract but you can't do that with it installed in the carburetor. Completely worthless.

Good product but ...

The hoist itself is great. The hardware and the components are exactly what I expected. The one problem is that the straps only have loops to connect to the hooks at the ends of each strap and using those loops the straps are too long for my needs (they don't raise the kayak high enough). I had to use rope instead of the straps provided to make it suit my needs. I have another kayak hoist from RAD that is exactly the same as this kit except that the straps have multiple loops which allow the length to be adjusted as needed. If the straps had the ability to adjust I would recommend this product without hesitation.
