Grandson Loved It!
One of my grandson's current areas of interest is sharks, in addition to Legos and Minecraft. This toy hits two of those areas, so I'm sure he would give it five stars.

Highly informative narrative and illustrations
This 17-page booklet provides an excellent history of the Mack phase of Smith-Miller's toy production in the 1950s. The hand-drawn illustrations provide enough details so the reader gets an accurate image of what each of the various models looked like. These images were helpful; however, I would have preferred to see digital scans of the advertising material or actual photographs for these items, even if they were in black & white, but production costs may have been higher. The illustrator must have had access to materials such as these to assist in making the drawings.

Comprehensive guide; illustrations not high-quality but still very helpful.
This publication is very useful reference for collectors of early Smith-Miller trucks, as it presents drawings of the various models and configurations. The drawings, while not high-quality, provide enough detail to show the reader what each variant looks like.
