Fantastic music but poor quality pressing
1 of 1 found this helpful While I love John Mayer's music and song writing, the sound quality of this pressing does not do it justice. Lacking in dynamics and overall just flat-sounding. I have played it on all 5 of my audio systems at home from vintage tube gear to a modern $60k reference system and everything in between. I have tried it with 4 different stereo cartridges, all with similar results. It is not the gear - it is the record unfortunately. Disappointed because I was hoping to experience John's wonderful songs with the beautiful sound of vinyl. I am definitely a vinyl guy as it is pretty much all I listen to but this pressing doesn't compare sonically to it's digital counterpart...
