Get the 40 volt, better performer than the 20 volt battery powered option, as you may guess.
Great little chainsaw. For very small jobs. Battery performance is excellent. Approximately 20 minutes fully charged for up to 8” branches and trees. Have a back up battery charged and you’ll avoid disappointment. I have two very large Stihls. Highly recommended.
This is a 40 volt lithium ion battery compatible chainsaw. Not the current 20 volt option available at Lowes. Same chainsaw. Any Craftsman or Black and Decker 40 volt battery connects. Had to discover this from a safe guess after whittling it down from other battery makers. Black and decker makes Craftsman products-or did. I can go from my Black and Decker 40 volt mower to the chainsaw making the battery versatile. A dead Craftsman 40 volt mower lead me in this direction when I had 4 idle batteries. That’s when I discovered the B&D mower Connection.
