I fired old Sherman (86 JD 165 lawn tractor) up and started my daily cruise to the corner store, my lawn trailer in tow. The Natty Light 30 packs were on sale and I was on my way to get my weeks supply (10 cases yum yum). About a mile into my journey, CRACK! POW! KLUNK! The muffler finally gave out and the engine began making such a racket. I proceeded, finished my quest, then made it back to the barn. But what to do? Glass pack/flow master? No I said, only the finest! JD original shipped fast!!

Ah! The simple air filter. An oft overlooked piece of the lowly garden tractor. But, what most do not realize is the importance of such a small filter. For this garden tractor wasn’t just any, it was headed for mount doom with Frodo on its seat and Samwise in tow! But shall we risk such a precarious and dangerous journey to a 3 year old air filter? No we shall not. In quick haste I ordered the finest filter china could produce, and installed it on Shadowfax (86 Deere 165) and the journey begins!
