Saves labor but less effective than a sponge mop.

Not nearly as good as a sponge mop but then again you don't have to fill up a bucket with soapy water, squeeze out the sponge mop several times and then empty it in the toilet being careful not to make a mess. The instruction that you need to change the pad after each use is a misdirection that tries to get you to buy more pads than necessary. If you store the device in a plastic bag, it doesn't dry out and you can get perhaps 3 applications. Also, it is possible that replacing the cleaning solution with water and detergent might avoid having to replace the proprietary detergent--will have to try after using up current bottle.
