Great Old School RPG
This is a great game for anyone who loves old school Japanese RPG's. They went back and used the great Job/Support Job system from games like Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy Tactics. At the same time they improved the basic old school combat using the Brave and Default system. Basically Default means you "guard" for half damage, but you also get a Brave Point to use on a later turn. On other turns you can spend Brave Points to get extra actions (up to 4 per turn). This method of storing actions makes the combat a lot more interesting than a game like Final Fantasy V.
So basically they kept in all the stuff you love from old school RPG's, and they improved gameplay where it needed it. There are a ton of other features to this game too, and it is a BIG game that will take a long time to complete. You really get your money's worth.
