Good little violin, the bow is terrible.
We love the little violin. It's the perfect size for our 3 year old who loves taking it out to play. But the bow is terrible. The hairs come off, it doesn't make sound. We've tried the rosin included and also my older daughter's rosin. Nothing helps. But, if we use another bow, the violin plays just fine. It doesn't hold a tune super well, but it's easy to tune, and it's not like we could tell it was in tune anyway, we are letting a 3 year old play the thing. But, a working bow would have been nice.

Great model, fun to build
I love these things. This is my tenth one. I'd probably say not for under 12. The detail is amazing. I have them at work on my desk and people walking by stop to admire them all the time.
