Nikon D70 6.1MP INFRARED
0 of 2 found this helpful This is a very interesting addition to have in ones photographic arsenal. Having a camera dedicated to infrared wavelengths opens up a whole new world of images. While you can get similar results with almost any digital camera using the appropriate filters, an IR-dedicated SLR allows you to easily shoot hand-held photos at shutter speeds and apertures similar to visible-light photography. The camera I purchased from davidmacq, is a good value, but I have noticed that there are always several small blemishes in the images. I assume these are due to debris between the IR pass filter and the CCD, because blowing off the outside of the filter had no effect. The blemishes are easily removed from the images by software, but if you want as close to perfection as possible, you might be better off buying a more expensive conversion elsewhere.

Good Upgrade for D3
This filter seems to filter more smaller particles than the original filter.

Recalibrate function available
Hygrometer required recalibration, but it's nice that it can be recalibrated easily!
