Flotec FP5182-08 Sprinkler Pump, 2 HP, 69 Max GPM

Works until it rust away. 3 years!

I live in Florida. The case on this exact same pump rusted to nothing inside of 3 years. Had the case been more environmentally armored with say epoxy paint then it would still be working. So basically I am having to replace this product every 3 years. I am trying a pump cover this time but I do live in a salt air environment, so my hopes are not high that it will last any longer. You would think that a product meant to be outdoors in a wet environment would at at the very least have protection against the elements considered when it was designed. After all, it is for an irrigation system.
