3 of 3 found this helpful Set in a period that cant quite be defined in post Free State Ireland a powerful performance from the late Richard Harris ( who asked to be buried in his Munster Rugby shirt )centres on the few acres nurtured by Harris,s character since his youth.
When the widowed owner decides to sell the patch of feild the scene is set for high drama...
Featuring a young Sean Bean and John Hurt , whose accent slips from time to time, to spoil an otherwise good characterisation , this is a movie well worth catching.
