English Country House Murders (1988)

I have now completed reading two-thirds of this collection of stories and am enjoying the book tremendously. The choice of "country house murder" stories is very good and the editor provides a bit of background about each author and story. If one is drawn to the likes of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple (aka detectives who happen or who are called upon the scene and use their wits and subtle observations to solve the murder that stumps the British ladies and gentlemen who are whiling away their time with tea and badminton at someone's well-staffed country mansion) then you will delight with this book. Make some tea and crumpets, build a fire, pretend that it is raining and enjoy!

I probably do not have to tell you that this is one of the most entertaining movies ever made. It has everything—humor, romance, satire, thought-provoking, so satisfying, etc. A teeny weeny bit slow at the beginning but give it 10 - 15 minutes. I have seen it endless times and will continue to do so. You will love this movie. John Leguizamo is unbelievable as the Princess Drag Queen. This far, far, far, outshines Priscilla of the Desert, which I found a tad boring. I am straight, 60 years old. This is great for anyone. Everyone loves it!!!
