Dependable - Hynix HMT351U6EFR8C-PB NO AA
I have been using the same 8GB of HMT351U6CFR8C-PB NO AA memory for about six years and found it to be dependable and to perform to specs.
I recently added 8 more GB for performing video editing tasks but these new sticks were HMT351U6EFR8C-PB NO AA; which are virtually the same except the latter only works well with L2 caches where the former can work with L1. That was okay with me as I would need to operate at L2 with 16GB to maintain stability.
From a performance standpoint, it all still works the same but I can now use more RAM when needed for intensive programs for things like video editing and live streaming of events.
From a speed perspective, I found that changing the cache settings to operate at L2 actually increased the speed noticeably, no matter how little RAM I am using. I attribute this to correcting minor stability issues that I didn't know I had before.

Samsung P207 ... You decide.
5 of 5 found this helpful The P207 is the next generation phone for the “average guy.” Reasonably priced and feature packed… and, in a word, GREAT!
The overall design of the phone is wonderful. Both the front and back screens of this clamshell phone are bright, customizable and easy to read. The color picture caller ID on the external screen is a nice feature. The external screen can be backlit (to read the clock, etc.) by simply holding down the left (volume) button on the exterior of the phone for a second. The backlighting of the keypad/menu buttons can be set to stay on up to 2 minutes and the blue color makes the buttons very easy to see. You can setup some 'preset' keys to handle the tasks that you do most often.
Both the voice program and the camera work off exterior buttons, as well as the call volume but not ringer volume (which prevents you from accidentally muting your ringer).
The big selling feature, the voice to text messaging, works wonderfully (80-90% accuracy on the first try), if properly trained and used in a QUIET environment.
This phone defaults to T9 mode (predictive text) so when you try to put a title to a picture, it will seem like your text keys aren't working. Don't panic. Just use the right menu key to turn T9 off when you don't need it.
So the big question is: HOW IS IT AT MAKING CALLS?
I had 1 dropped call the entire 15 months that I owned this phone. The call quality was exemplary, although I do agree that there are fringe areas in which the phone cannot establish a call where it is clearly a problem with the phone’s ability to lock-in the signal strength.
PROBLEMS WITH THE P207:
Is a phone expected to operate perfectly for more than a year? After 15 months, both of my P207s lost the ability to consistently use downloaded ringtones. More importantly, the camera failed on both phones. I have checked on the web… the ringtone problem is not common but not unusual. Oddly, I seem to be the only one whose cameras failed (perhaps because I got two of the very first phones shipped).
The biggest problem of all is that despite these vital features failing, it's STILL my favorite phone ever. ebay allows an 'out of 5' rating so I give it a five. 'Eight and a half out of ten' might be more appropriate.
POST SCRIPT:
I have since replaced the P207s with D407s (I discovered the value of bluetooth for me) and so far they are very nice too; although the exterior buttons are not recessed like the P207's so they are too easy to accidentally activate.

You've heard it before...
1 of 1 found this helpful Out of the box there is a lot to correct... mostly due to shipping/settling. After all, remember that these ship from China to the U.S. and are then stored in California and the case is made of wood so there is lots of opportunity for screws to come loose. Tighten EVERY screw before attempting to use the printer. Just up to a stop; do not over tighten. If any screws holding the LCD screen or buttons come loose, access them through the bottom panel. If you try to take a side off, everything falls apart and you will add a full day trying to get the thing back together again. Also, there is some very minor assembly required and you MUST go through the leveling routine to get the print correct.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS. The above is all very easy. I have zero experience with these printers and I got mine working in a few hours. If I hadn't been stupid enough to take off one side, it would have only taken about an hour to be up and running. This thing makes excellent, detailed prints considering it is being sold for home/office use.
Here are a few tips:
1) The Y axis stop sensor (upper left corner) may not be set correctly. You may have to bend the metal tab out a little. If the Y axis stop is not properly aligned, the print head will grind against the motor housing in the upper right when you try to use the machine. BE CAREFUL! If you have to bend the switch tab, be sure to support the base of it and only bend from the middle, If you break this tab off, you may render your printer useless.
2) Download MakerBot's software instead of using the software that comes with it. Their software allows you to do more things and is easy to use.
3) Go to 3D printing file websites. There are a lot of free files that you can download and print.
4) When doing high definition prints, use a raft. My son was printing a rose. He had some trouble without a raft but once he added the raft, the printer was able to create very delicate petals that had realistic curves and were woven in layers inside each other. AMAZING.
5) Part if not all of the instructions that you will receive are in Chinese so go online and download an English version; it's not hard to find.
6) The machine comes with only one spool holder, but contains a file to 3D print additional holder parts that attach to the included holder to accommodate a second filament reel.
