It's accurate - It deals with two celebrations that the villagers are preparing for.
I cannot find a single thing about this book that I would say is a "con". It only has "pros".

The book is about the a rare albino robin who becomes somewhat of a celebrity.
Sometimes it's nice to leave the world and its ongoing problems behind and step back into a less hectic world.
Miss Read's books (Dora Saint, actually) are soothing as well as entertaining. When I just want to relax, I like to visit Thrush Green and Fairacre with its interesting characters and share their lives for a while.
