My Experience With The Small Wonder...
I first bought this unit while searching for a Germin 2620. But before I commited myself to the Germin, I wanted to research some more after the salesman told me Magellan 800 was a better unit and cheaper. I read some good reviews on the Magellan Roadmate 800 and got to try it out with a friend who already bought one. He told me how much he trusted this unit going on long trips blinded, without any maps. So he gave it to me to try on my trip to Florida. Well I got to say, this unit is the best !! I went to Florida for a two week vacation and had that on every where I went. It never once got me lost or failed to get me where I wanted to go, like shows, restaurants, and Shopping malls. The unit was right on the money and shows a clear bright screen and has good sound. When I got back to NY, I gave the unit back to my friend and went out and bought one the same day. Magellan is a great friend and most of all, it's the best at getting you where you want and safe. I'm giving my unit to my kid, who just graduated from HS and I'm going out to buy my self a new Magellan. I hope I helped in making your decision easy when you deside what unit to buy. I can give you all the details about the unit functions and all, but I will be here all day, so I just gave you the main reason why to buy this amazing GPS.

Magellan RoadMate 6000T GPS Receiver Simply The Best !
The Magellan Roadmate 6000T is a 12-channel, automotive global positioning device. I bought this for my son who is traveling alot with friends for research. It's the best thing I ever bought for my child, I never have to worry about him ever getting lost. I did some research on what is better as far as features and reliability (Did I spell that right?) anyway, I spent 3 days searching the net and asking friends and came up with the best! the Magellan Roadmate 6000T. It has an SD memory card and SD memory card memory, which is somewhat more favorable than some similarly priced GPS receivers. Provides verbal navigation instructions. Utilizes WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) technology to achieve of an error margin of 3 meters or less. Supports Bluetooth wireless data transfer. Share information, update database maps, and add programs using this receiver's USB computer connection. Uses a standard SD memory card to store routes and maps. Its removable memory allows for almost unlimited storage of routes and other data, and of course the big hard drive built in that has coverage of all 50 US States, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada. Integrated traffic receiver provides LIVE traffic incident reports to avoid accidents, road work and more. Incidents appear on screen with detailed information. (requires service subscription after 3 month introductory period). Over six million points of interest, Easily find gas stations, restaurants, ATMs, airports, parks and more. When your on the road it's a great feature to have when you don't know where you are. If you get stuck on the road somewhere, there is a instant locate button to tell who ever your calling for help. It has the best smart detour I ever seen, it will automatically route you around sudden slow freeway traffic or if you miss an exit. It has bluetooth for your enabled phone that has built-in speakers and microphone to make it easy to answer incoming calls. Mp3 built in to play your favorite music while navigating through integrated speaker or headphones. I not really a fan of that feature, but my son loves it. Photo viewer to see your pictures while your still on vacation or just can't wait to go home. Rechargeable battery that last up to 4 hrs when you don't have any power access. It has many other feature that are amazing for someone like me who want's nothing more than to have their child be safe while driving. I will buy one for my daughter next and maybe sell my old one and treat myself for one. You can't go wrong with this unit that is not expensive and very easy to learn how to use it. With the address book feature that can store up to 300 names with phone numbers, it all a click away. I think as well as many of my friends and my son who uses it everyday and never had any problems with it,"Magellan RoadMate 6000T is simply the most complete GPS navigation system available" Now everyone has there opinion on what they are looking for in a GPS, but if you want a unit you can trust for yourself or child lokk no further than this. I will say it again, Magellan RoadMate 6000T is simply the most complete GPS navigation system available.

Planet Earth is amazing and a must-see !!
I want to start off by saying...WOW !! Planet Earth's first episode "From Pole to Pole" provides an overview of the entire series. It whisks us from the Antarctic to the North Pole, and a variety of climes in between, without simply repackaging footage from subsequent episodes. We're given a glimpse into the lives of Emperor Penguins, Polar Bears, Great White Sharks hunting sea lions in breeding season, the nearly extinct Amur Leopard of Eastern Russia, a massive herd of caribou in North America, a pack of wild dogs on the hunt in Africa, and other rare and fascinating species. As the episode titles indicate, the remainder of the series focuses on specific ecosystems and the wildlife they nurture. Each episode is a glory of high-definition cinematography that utilizes new technology to capture vivid imagery from distances that give us a window into animal behavior sans the disruptive influence of camera crews tromping through their habitats. Like all nature series, each episode of Planet Earth draws its dramatic intensity from the relentless struggle between life and death—and the show is, indeed, dramatically intense. Placid shots of achingly beautiful flora, fauna, and sprawling landscapes are juxtaposed against the never-ending contest between predator and prey. Planet Earth is absolutely riveting, but not for the feint of heart. The most dramatic and controversial of its violent set pieces is the "Great Plains" episode's difficult to watch encounter between an elephant and a pride of 30 hungry lions. Shot in the dead of night, the sequence delivers a palpable sense of terror and raw savagery that evokes equal parts sympathy and fascination. Best of all, the show's genuine drama doesn't rely on anthropomorphizing the animals. It simply presents them as they are. It is the astounding breadth, scope, and depth of Planet Earth that makes it revolutionary. "Ocean Deep," "Ice Worlds," "Jungles," or any of the other episodes have the smarts and substance to hold their own against similarly themed Discovery Channel documentaries. That each of the unique episodes is woven into a sprawling but cohesive 11-part whole makes Planet Earth a unique and special snapshot of the planet on which we live. Combine that with the show's innovative and surprisingly intimate cinematography and one need only watch a few minutes of the first episode to realize that nature documentaries will never be the same. In terms of supplements, each episode of the series is followed by a 10-minute featurette detailing the production of one of the episode's segments. Though brief, the pieces provide a concrete sense of the new technologies used to deliver the show's stunning views of nature, as well as the trials suffered by the various crews trying to capture rare footage in remote parts of the world. A fifth disc contains a follow-up series called Planet Earth: The Future. Split into three episodes—"Saving Species" "Into the Wilderness" and "Living Together" The whole show runs approximately two and a half hours in length. It assembles a group of environmental talking heads to discuss the ecological ramifications at the heart of Planet Earth. This 11-part examination of the majestic beauty of Earth's remotest landscapes and rarest species is guaranteed to take your breath away. As I am running out of caracters to finish my review, let me say Planet Earth is the most impressive nature show I've ever laid eyes on. If you're a fan of the genre, it's a must-see.
