Awful book, more about Taylor's love for Brian Epstein than the Beatles
This book is badly written and quite obviously a grab for cash. Taylor is bitter that he was not included in the Anthology and favors Lennon throughout the book. It does not include any inside info that has not already been written about in other books.
Taylor fancies himself as Mr Fixit, where in other books Peter Brown is credited with this.
Taylor also goes on about Epstein constantly. The book is more about Taylor's platonic love for Brian than any inner revelations about the Beatles. In Taylor's eyes Brian can do no wrong, he obviously had no insight into the terrible deals Brian made as the Beatles manager.
Not worth the read.

Is this really the ultimate beatles bio?
I have read just about every other Beatles Bio and this one is good, well he has taken the content out of every other Bio out there. A couple of things got me going - mistakes.
He says George met Patti on the set of Help, wrong, it was hard Days Night. He also said that the Beatles ND FREINDS used to enjoy "ChickButties" back in Liverpool and they were chicken in buttered bread...wrong. They are "ChipButties", that's french fires to Americans...what Liverpool working class family could afford to feed hoards of hungry teenagers chicken?
Overall it's OK, but annoying because of the inaccuracies.
