Disappointed in Hawaii
Camera’s monitor screen stopped working on my first day In Hawaii. I was set to take a variety of breath taking photos only to find out my new cameras view finder wasn’t functioning. Good thing I still have my iPhone. I had the camera for less than 6 weeks, just long enough for my 30 day warranty to run out.

"hands-on" electronic training without going to class
I really like the "simplicity" of this manual. I purchased the soft cover "International Version" and the content was exactly like the hard cover version. I saved at least $60 (that's including shipping and handling). There are numberous things I like about this book but to pinpoint just a few of my "favorites", I would have to say that the included CD was probably at the top of my list. It uses a program called "multisim" which basically allows the student to build their own circuit and "see" how that circuit operates. Most chapters have several examples that allows the student to "test" the theories written about in the book. Be aware though in order to use the CD you have to purchase the Multisim program. The good news is, if you're enrolled in a bonified school (i.e. high school, colledge, trade school, etc...) you can qualifiy for the Student Edition of this CD. The cost is only $39 dollars but its well worth the cost. Non students purchasing this program could spend up to hundreds of dollars. After I added up my cost of purchasing the International Version, shipping, handling and the Mulisim program, it STILL came out cheaper than buying a USED book in our bookstore.
If you choose not to purchase the Multisim program, the book is still a good buy because the graphics and explanation on Electric Ciruit principles is very staight forward and simple enough for someone even like ME (a beginner) to comprehend. A word of caution though. If you purchase the International Version be sure to take the CD out as soon as it arrives and put it in a safe place because of the soft cover. The CD can easily break if you're not careful.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this book a TEN. Floyd Pearson is an excellent teacher whether you're in a formalized class, or if you wish to study on your own.
