Good value
A good opener for the money. May take a few times to use properly. You need to lift the lever up about and inch and tilt the top of the can inwards as you place the rim of the can on the gear. Slowly close the lever to pierce the can and start the motor. After that, the opener should open the can and stop by itself. It does leave a jagged edge compared to my ancient cutting wheel type can opener. For heavy cans you may need to hold the opener which is light. Most can openers use this type of mechanism but I prefer the old wheel type one. Not a big deal once you get used to it.

Just what I needed
I bought this to use as a calendar to instantly display the month, day and time. The temperature is accurate as well. I do not use the alarm function at this time. It is well made and a good value. I would purchase it again.

Excellence from a bygone time
2 of 2 found this helpful If you ever liked watching the Ed Sullivan show you will love this DVD and Vol. 1 as well. It will bring back many good memories. Of days when there were maybe 4 TV channels and the family watched TV together. Ed Sullivan had something interesting for everyone in the family. Much of the acts and talent are from another era (vaudeville) and are not seen much anymore. Variety shows such as this were popular until the early 70's.
It is well edited considering that there was so much talent on his long running show that you could have hundreds of DVD's like this one. When watching it, the time went very fast and I wanted more.
