Nice, but dies are slightly off
8 of 8 found this helpful The dies are a bit too big, at least for 2 AWG. When crimping good quality lugs, it will not crimp them complete enough and I can pull the cable out. If I go down a die size, it leaves "wings" on the lug. Same experience with Anderson Power Product 2 AWG lugs for their SB-175 which are thicker than normal lugs. One size die is too big and the next size down is too small. The lug should be compressed to have nice, sharp edges on all hex sides but no "wings" where the dies meet. I can either get all rounded edges and a loose crimp or sharp edges with two wings. My guess is these are metric dies labeled for AWG. However, the build quality seems pretty good.
