Gardening Basics Country Living Gardener
Very simple book. Good solid hints. Not difficult to follow. Good index with solid chapter layouts. Lots of great gardening ideas, features, fencing, etc. Like that it has both vegetable/fruit and flowers. I would highly recommend for the just starting out or amateur gardener. It doesn't have scientific and over information that a professional gardiner would want but for those of us just learning or want to know more it is EXCELLENT!

Stonewall Kitchen Favorites by Stott, King & Gunst
In my collection I have over 450 cookbooks from 1890 up to 2008. I have wanted this one for awhile because the Stonewall Kitchens have a good reputation. This book doesn't disapoint. The recipes are fresh with lots of spices. Some of the items in required for the recipes are unique to big cities unless you homegrow or have a good farmer's market in your town. The first recipe I made was the egg salad sandwiches for a picnic and they were great! This will be a cookbook to use not just to sit on a shelf and look pretty!
