A great value.
I am very pleased with the D5200. For what I do, it was the perfect upgrade from the D3200. It has just the features I need at a price I can afford.

Good light weight tripod
It's the same good quality unit I've come to expect from Slik. It's isn't quite as solid as I would have liked, but should work well for my Sony a6000. On a hard surface the legs tend to spread a bit, but on carpet it's pretty good and I think it should work well outside on dirt where I intended to use it most anyway. I now have three Slik tripods and a 350 monopod and am convinced that considering cost and quality, they are one of the best values.

Very good tripod
Kind of like the story of the three bears, I own a 700DX, which while very stable is too big for most uses outside the studio and I have a 340QF, which while small, light and compact can be a bit too light for many outside uses. The 400DX seems to be the perfect middle ground and while not compact when folded down is certainly quite portable and quite sturdy when in use. In other words, it's just right.
