Excellent product
Intuitive for a new user but reviewing the manual is a good idea. There are many useful features.

Excellent big pan
Unusually large cast-iron pan that will handle a lot of food in style. Perfect for dishes like pad thai.
The pan arrives preseasoned by Lodge. Two C-shaped handles for ease in picking up the pan.

A great deal, no monthly charges, and easy set-up
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased a used Series 3 Tivo with lifetime service (it conveys with the equipment when a previous owner has purchased the service), so there are no monthly bills. The unit is capable of recording at least 30 hours of HD content, much more in lesser definition. Elsewhere, I purchased a used Tivo wireless adapter to make the Internet connection with my wireless system. An internet chat line (response in 15 seconds!) helped me set up a Tivo account, though it's mostly for registration, not fees. Two words: inexpensive and easy. Connection was very easy and took about 30 minutes, mostly the time to download the TV broadcast schedules for start-up. I'm currently receiving about 19 broadcast channels perfectly with rabbit ears. I'd read that broadcast HD is superior in quality to compressed cable HD, and I believe it.
In addition, Tivo provides access to Netflix and Amazon film streaming if you establish accounts with the latter. I opted for broadcast because I rarely use most of the cable offerings. A side benefit is access to Pandora's extensive music stations, which are superior in every way to Comcast music offerings. I've not yet mastered the technique for using Tivo to play slide shows and music from my Macbook, but it's possible. No need for Apple TV.
Because the cable box had been set up in a cabinet (all wood), I was using a device that translates a remote's IR signal to radio frequencies and then translates it back to IR inside the cabinet. The same device works perfectly with the Tivo, which is completely out of sight. The wireless adapter, too, is inside the cabinet.
The current least expensive Tivo (Premiere) lists for about $150 but is usually available for less at big box stores. But you then need to subscribe to the service or purchase a lifetime contract (about $500).
I liked the ease of set-up and the ergonomic feel of the remote (peanut-shaped) in the hand. If I were redesigning the latter, I'd provide larger buttons with bigger labels.
