Great for funky experimentation.
1 of 1 found this helpful So far so good. I bought this looking to expand my tonal palette, and this definitely has shaken things up. While it hasn't been as useful for my style as I initially had hoped, I am getting used to it and it is being incorporated into my playing and writing styles.

Excellent update on a classic.
I had a Whammy II when I first saw the new Whammy V on the market. I loved mine, but it was not as rugged as I needed it to be. My experience with the Whammy IV was okay, but I preferred the II. However, it seems like the V combined the pros of each model, so I had to try it out. Upon receipt, I loved how rugged it was, as well as the options for classic and modern sounds. Plus, I no longer need my AC power supply.
