Great instrument for anyone's collection
I live in Florida and most of the time the weather's just great for ukes. However we have periods of heat being on. So I decided I needed a good quality laminite uke so I can use without worry--this is it. The sound, feel of the uke is just top notch and I play it everyday. Electrified the sound is way better than I thought it would be. Here's what you get that over $1000 ukes often don't have:
1) Truss rod (yes, amazing)
2) Compensated bridge
3) EQ with onboard tuner

One of the best deals in an electric guitar. Period.
This guitar deal astonished me. I've been playing for over 40 years and have played just about every guitar. It's very nice out of the box but when I put on D'Addario 12 Jazz strings on it, it became my favorite, I play it every day. I honestly feel the major online music stores would prefer that you never heard of this guitar.

This "laminate" guitar sounds better than my solid top guitar!
Sparkling highs, great mids and bass. Yes, it sounds better than my Epiphone solid top. The Epi is earthier but also the notes don't ring out and it doesn't have the note separation this Ibanez has. I wasn't planning on having a favorite guitar brand for me but Ibanez guitars are so consistently great and at a reasonable price that I don't have a choice.
