Great upgrade from GM originals

KYB GR2s are little firmer than the OEM originals with a subsequent improvement in handling, whilst still being compliant enough to give a smooth ride in everyday driving. I've used KYB products on other cars and always had good results; they are a good quality shock and give a notable improvement over the softer OEM shocks. My last set of KYB GR2s lasted over 9yrs and were still going strong when I sold the car.

Questionable fit on 2003 Focus Wagon

Hitch is about 1/2" narrower than the factory tie down hangers; bolts can be cinched down enough to pull the factory hangers and the hitch together, but not really what you would expect. Fit to the holes in the frame rails is accurate. Muffler hanger rattles on the side plate of the hitch, which will require either modification to the muffler mount (original Ford) or cut out of hitch side plate to avoid annoying rattle. Other than the slight size issue, the hitch was quick and easy to fit; about 20 minutes in total. Requires a long ball mount as the hitch is mounted quite a way forward, tucked right under the bumper cover, but I imagine this may also be the case with other brands. Overall I would say the hitch is a reasonable buy given the price point.
