Why Spend More
I'm convinced we fiyfishers spent far too much money on reels. At around $130, this reel is perfectly adequate for any fish to be taken on the rods and lines this reel is designed to hold. And, it looks classy doing it. The only downside, a very minor one, is this--to change the tension on the click, you must remove the reel spool and flip the pawl one way or the other to tighten or lessen the click tension. It can be gone without removing anything from the rod, except the spool. Make the adjustment, reinsert the spool and you are back in business. It has plenty of capacity and a very smooth action. I'm pleased with it and recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight reel.

Too Bad its no longer available
I really like this reel for switch or 6 wt or higher single hand rods. On closeout they are a great value.

Hardy Marquis Salmon #2
This is a solid performer in the click/pawl world for angling for salmon, steelhead, and other migratory fish. There are a lot of more expensive click/pawl reels on the market, but this one is a proven performer and there is no need to spend more for any other reel that won't perform any better.
