Design Flaw
This Audi rear window regulator has a design flaw. Look it the picture and find the white rectangular device at the end of the cable, just above the round green pulley on the left side. This is a termination & connection box for the two cables. If you look very closely you can see that it is starting to split at the lower left side (the small dark line). The original on my car completely broke, leaving the window to be loose and free in the fender well. On this used replacement part, the box was starting to fail. We tie wrapped it closed to keep it from breaking later and it works well now. Hint: Replacing this part on the car may be a job for a professional!
