Better late than never
1 of 1 found this helpful This box set is long overdue. It is quality entertainment that is iconic and has stood as a beacon of what could have been and should have been. Only releasing three seasons over the years and when the core audience has all but died off. Going all the way with the other seasons was inexplicable logic. However for those who have survived it is a treat that is to be savored. As they say, better late than never.

More than a sit com
I can't help but wonder why the full series took do long to be released. It would be a gross understatement to say it just a classic sit com. For the unacquainted The title is somewhat a misnomer as although it's is about the life of a football coach, the actual subject matter is about the economic, social, and relationship dilemmas and choices that confront the characters. Football is almost incidental to the scenarios that this series covers. It might be argued that it would more accurately described as a course on life coaching.
It is very skillfully researched and written and best of all it is wonderfully acted with people who you can relate to and laugh and cry with and get angry at. It is totally addictive viewing. The writers would not allow it to be peppered with bad language and almost all the time, the high moral ground triumphs, leaving the viewer entertained and wiser and hopefully a nicer person as a result.

Disapointing
