1000W gem loaded with features!
It is very powerful and most of all...versatile . Compression, equalization, and blend are very useful features, and I had a blast tweaking them to suit my needs. I don't know enough about how to use the gate feature, and when I did activate it, I found it to be a strange tool.
For those players with two cabinets, having the flexibility to choose bridged or bi-amp mode is a plus! Both of my cabs have tweeters so I went bridged. I primarily play through the house system, so the XLR pre-output is especially useful.
I use the send/return loop for an LED display unit, but my input feed comes from a rack tuner with a mute/footswitch.
The amp is great "eye candy" as well, with all of the red anodized metal knurled knobs and lighted indicators.
The amp I received came with a two-prong cord, which I thought was weird for a 1000W amp...so I replaced it with a grounded three-prong version.
This is an awesome amp and probably the last I will ever need. I don't know if Carvin still makes this product (it's heavy and the trend appears to favor light compact units).
If you can find one, get it!
