If you're looking for an awesome Soul Calibur game, pick up the fourth one.
Pros: Graphics are better, stuff is more flashy, character creation is much better, stages are a bit more interesting than the last game, and better online play.
Cons: The new characters aren't as interesting as the old ones that they replaced, single player has been reduced to: arcade, harder arcade, story, training, and quick battle, the story mode isn't as long or as fun as the previous games were, it also does a pretty bad job with characterization, overall, the story just isn't as good as any of the older Soul Calibur games.
I wouldn't pay over $25 for this game unless you plan to play online a lot or have a bunch of people to play it with. I do think the game is a good fighting game, just not a good Soul Calibur game.
