USB Voltage and Current monitor.
These devices are useful in checking whether a USB supply has the correct voltage output, and to also measure the output current drawn by the devices being powered. They have two USB outlets, so can be used to power (charge or run) two USB loads at the same time. The voltage and current readings are not as accurate as you would expect from a typical DVM, but nonetheless are useful indicators, and accurate enough for most purposes. At fairly high currents (say a few hundred mA and above), there is a noticeable voltage drop caused by the device. This isn't a huge amount but in some instances will be a small disadvantage. They are cheap and robust, and really help in sorting out charging or running problems associated with USB power supplies and equipment running from such supplies. Recommended - good value.

Successful Repair of Husqvarna YTH1542XP Ride-On Mower Tyre
One of the large rear tyres on my ride-on would go completely flat over about 2-3 days. I had previously repaired a side wall puncture in one of the smaller front tyres (with a similar product), and that has turned out to be a permanent repair, so I had no reservations against attempting the repair of the rear tyre. I didn't know the location of the leak, but had ascertained that it wasn't a valve problem. I squeezed in about 24 oz out of the total contents of 32 oz (as recommended in the directions), and simply started mowing, the idea being to let the Slime coat the tyre internally as it rotated. I mowed for about an hour. That was six weeks ago, and I haven't needed to pump it up in that time. As the repair to the smaller front tyre was years ago, and a side wall injury, I regard the technique of using a sealant as a very effective way of repairing mower tyres. I imagine it is a lot cheaper than taking the wheel off and heading to a repairer - it's certainly much less trouble.

Step down DC-DC converter with current limit and facilities for termination of battery charge.
This is a very useful device at a good price. They work well as a step down DC to DC converter, and maintain their output voltage and set current limits accurately. They are easy to calibrate against a digital voltmeter. They work efficiently and don't dissipate a lot of heat. I haven't yet used them at very high currents, but they do come with a small heatsink to attach to the switching transistor if the application requires it. I haven't needed to use the heatsinks yet, so can't comment on their use. The metering on the unit is useful, and can be set to read input voltage, input current, output voltage, or output current - a fifth display option is to have all of the previous readings read in sequence continuously. A good device at a good price.
