2 of 3 found this helpful I only hooked it up about a week ago, therefore have not put it though a lot of use.
Pros:
- I guess you would say it is 'compact' as it does hold 4-GB.
- I was able to simply connect and transfer files without having to go through a bunch of setting up.
- There is a choice to set up all sorts of apps and security that I do not need, I simply need the local storage space which I chose not to use.
- It has its own power supply so I can connect it through my small USB hub without blowing the hub's finals.
- The USB cable is compatible with my aging tecnology.
Cons:
- I am using it for photos, transferring through an old Surface Tablet (Windows). The first time I tried to restart the tablet while it was connected to the external drive the little computer would not start. When I disconnected the device the tablet started on the first try. I suspect the computer was looking for direction from the external drive and was confused. I will leave it disconnected for now on unless I am actually using it. I'd give it 5* except for this one glitch that may not bother someone with modern equipment.
