In my opinion the best e trex .

When used in conjuction with a map if using pre planned hiking routes this is marvellous. It is easy to carry and light. I value the way it pinpoints where I am on screen in conjunction with the route that shows as a black track on light background. It is easy to see in sunlight too. Much better than any mobile I have used. It doesnt show detailed maps but for me this is a bonus as on this small screen, that could distract me too much and confuse things.I have the map to give me the big picture. The trip odometer is great for checking distnace covered and average speed etc...even an estimated time of arrival..(make sure you are moving when looking at that or it suddenly increases because it thinks you are not making forward progress ...) A wonderful piece of kit.So much so, I have gained much more confidence in hiking alone in areas without a phone signal & minimal reference points. So next on my list is a personal loactor beacon. Just in case.
