Deck was a different design than shown but laser worked perfect

Couldn't use the deck. It was a lot different than the one shown in the picture. When the tray would close it hit the worm gear. I swapped the new laser from this one into the old deck and the laser worked great in a Sony Bluray player and fixed no disc error.
