Turtle Beach Ear Force XLC Headphone Review

I love the sound quality in this thing, its unlike any other headset i have tried around the same price as competitor headsets . Since i have the Ear Force DSS it makes it sound even better when playing xbox 360/ ps3/ or even on my computer (I use it on my iMac). After using it for a while, it starts to get a bit uncomfortable with excess of use like watching a 3 hour movie or playing an intense video game for long hours, wish the cushions were better. Even though the cushioning on it isn't that great it kind of blocks out some noise, not a lot but some. If you turn up the volume just enough to hear the game/ movie/ other media you will barely hear anybody or anything around you. I have used the mic and is great for xbox live, haven't had problems with it so far. I do wish these headphones had some kind of voice chat volume control and game volume control so i can hear the chatting better. Even if some games have the option to turn down the game chat, there are others where they don't have the option like Halo Reach for example and it kind of bummed me out when using this headset to play. PROS -Good Stereo Sound -Long cables in case of moving around or playing at far distance from TV/ Computer screen -For its low price it offers more -Sturdy and durable -Clip on volume control CONS -Uncomfortable after long hours -Long cables could be of a problem to some or get tangled/ tripped over. -No complete volume control for game/ chat which some headset do have. -Not very eye appealing Overall if you're a gamer on a budget and just want a good decent headset to use, buy this one. Recommended -If you can get this with the Earforce DSS, it makes them sound WAY better. It is pretty pricey but again it's just recommended.
