The battery is adequate for 15 y.o. technology.
The battery recharges quickly and lasted somewhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on performance settings.. Considering the fact that we're talking about at least 15 y.o. technology, this is acceptable.

Seagate 2TB HDD 2.5 internal SATA drive review.
This is PMR HDD 2.5 internal laptop SATA drive. Its capacity is 2TB, probably the maximum you get with 2.5 internal SATA without resorting to SMR. Compared with SMR this drive is relatively fast. It is quiet (I can't hear it while it's operating). My experience tells me that this kind of drive is highly reliable; in fact I had one of this kind of drive for almost 20 years, with no problems. The major reason I prefer this kind to SSD is that due to complexity of SSD controller there's always a possibility that something can go really wrong resulting in catastrophic failure (that is, nothing is recoverable). Of course, compared with SSD it is quite slow. I use it as a secondary drive in my laptop (which comes with SATA 2.5 bay). My primary drive is SSD. This drive can be used as an external drive with SATA-to-USB enclosure (I use SABRIENT for one those kind of drive, and it works really well). If your situation is such that reliability is more important than the data transfer rate, I can highly recommend this kind of drive

SAMSUNG 2.5 500GB SATA drive review.
This is the third drive I owe. It is highly reliable (the very first one I got was about 15 years ago and it still runs with no problems). I use it as an external drive, with Sabrient SATA-to-USB enclosure. Of course it operates at SATA speed, so it is substantially slower that the modern SSD devices. I use it for storing data and multimedia files and for backup, so speed is not a problem. If you need an external drive for this kind of functionality, I highly recommend it.
